Privacy Statement

The Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP) provides information through vpap.org as part of its non-profit mission to educate the public about the role of money in Virginia politics. VPAP requires visitors to accept "cookies," a small computer file that vpap.org will place on our computer's hard drive and will enable vpap.org to confirm your privilege to access the site.

VPAP may perform statistical analyses of information gathered from cookies in order to gauge the relevancy of specific services provided on vpap.org. Statistical analyses will show summary trends only and will not include any information that could identify the frequency of visits or pages requested by any individual visitor. VPAP may include the results of summary traffic analysis in marketing materials and grant applications.

Those who wish to be notified of updates to vpap.org are asked to provide their email address. VPAP will keep the list of registrants confidential and not market, sell or give away the list of email addresses to a third party. VPAP reserves the right to email registrants periodic solicitations for a charitable donation to help pay the costs of compiling the database and maintaining the Web site.

VPAP reserves the right to change this privacy policy. VPAP agrees to notify all registered users in advance of any significant change in its privacy policy and to give registered users the option of opting out before VPAP were to implement such a change.
