VPAP envisions a day when any Virginian — no matter where they live — can go online and see who is giving money to candidates for local office.
Launched in 2007, VPAP's Local Election Initiative now covers 25 cities and counties. VPAP is working to raise the funds necessary to provide electronic disclosure in additional localities and is working to encourage candidates for local office to file campaign finance reports electronically.
