VPAP has posted the latest pre-election finance disclosures for candidates running in local elections. Starting on October 25, candidates are required to report within 24 hours any donation of $500 or more received between now and the November 6 election.

VPAP has posted the latest pre-election finance disclosures for candidates running in local elections. Starting on October 25, candidates are required to report within 24 hours any donation of $500 or more received between now and the November 6 election.
The donations reported today are:
Alexandria - At Large CIty Council
- John Chapman (Democrat) - $500 from Amanda Stafford of McLean.
Richmond - District 1 City Council
- Bruce Tyler (Independent) - $500 from Robert B. Ball Jr of Hanover.
Virginia Beach - Rose Hall City Council
- Glenn Davis (Independent) - $1,000 from Divaris Real Estate Inc in Virginia Beach.
Monday was the deadline for all candidates to provide a complete public accounting of their finances for the first 24 days of the month. However, the State Board of Elections extended this deadline due to Hurricane Sandy. VPAP will post these reports as soon as they are available.
