Update: Independent Expenditures

More independent expenditures have poured into Virginia's Kaine-Allen race than into any other Senate contest in the nation, according to the Campaign Finance Institute in Washington.
VPAP is tracking every dollar reported. Here are the largest expenditures reported since November 1:
George Allen - Oppose
- United Food & Commercial Workers: $240,000 for TV advertising on November 2.
- Majority PAC: $99,875 for a media buy on November 2.
Tim Kaine - Oppose
- Independence Virginia: $700,000 for broadcast and radio advertising on November 2.
- National Republican Senatorial Committee: $440,000 for media on November 1.
- Independence Virginia: $300,000 for online/digital advertising on November 2.
