Update: New House Candidates and PACs

Three new candidates have filed paperwork to raise money for the House of Delegates:
- Bill Fleming (Democrat) is challenging Republican incumbent Bob Purkey in House District 82, which encompasses Virginia Beach City. Fleming previously ran for the State Senate District 8 seat in the 2010 Special Election.
- Michael Futrell (Democrat) is challenging Republican incumbent Mark Dudenhefer in House District 2, which straddles the Prince William/Stafford county line. This is Futrell's first bid for public office
- Colin Harris (Democrat) is challenging Republican incumbent Michael Webert in House District 18, which encompasses parts of Fauquier, Warren, Culpeper, and Rappahannock counties. This is Harris's first bid for public office.
VPAP has also added a new state PAC that recently registered with the Virginia State Board of Elections.
- Virginia Democratic Business Caucus -- Seeks to elect Democratic candidates to local, legislative, and statewide office.
