  • Most commonly held stock: BB&T (9 legislators)

Virginia's system of representative government is dependent in part upon the ability of part-time citizen legislative members to participate fully in the legislative process. To ensure citizens maintain the highest trust in their elected representatives, candidates for the General Assembly are required to disclose certain personal financial information (such as employment, investments and business partnerships). The information in these forms provide transparency in situations where a legislator's votes may impact his or her personal finances.
