In preparing for keying the disclosure reports for the 2009-10 lobbying year, VPAP has discovered some discrepancies between its lobbyist registration list and the online list maintained by the Secretary of the Commonwealth.VPAP found 11 instances where lobbyists listed in the VPAP database were not found in the SOC's database. And it found nine instances where lobbyists in the SOC were not found in the VPAP list.VPAP has added the nine lobbyists to its list of 2,111 lobbyists who registered in the period of May 2009-April 2010. They are:

- American Water Works Assn. - Darin Waylett
- City of Chesapeake - J. Byran Plumlee
- Computer & Communications Industry Assn. - H. Benson Dendy III
- Sandlot Connect LLC - Charles Duvall Jr.
- Virginia Magistrates Association - Bonnie Atwood
- Virginia Tech Foundation - Frank Atkinson
- Washington Metro Area Transit Authority - Jennifer Green
VPAP builds its list from documents provided each week by the SOC. VPAP's procedures include a careful count of the documents to make sure all registrations -- which come in both .pdf and paper formats -- are entered each week.
