The Virginia Public Access Project has partnered with the Washington-based Center for Responsive Politics to provide a list of Virginia donors to presidential candidates.
The numbers below show total donations of $200 or more reported by candidates through December 31:
- $2,739,420 Mitt Romney
- $2,247,498 Barack Obama
- $380,031 Ron Paul
- $347,060 Newt Gingrich
- $292,927 Rick Santorum
- $231,666 Rick Perry
- $175,602 Herman Cain
Note: These numbers do not include amounts from small donors.
VPAP also provides a ZIP Code Map that shows a side-by-side comparison of money raised by two presidential candidates in 11 regions across Virginia.
In the next few weeks, VPAP will update the numbers to include donors disclosed in the first quarter of 2012.
