STATE LAWMAKERS ON BOTH SIDES TAKE AIM AT GOVERNOR'S PROPOSAL

Bob McDonnell's proposal to cut funding for nonprofit agencies that provide community-based services to senior citizens. McDonnell has proposed an amendment to the new state budget that would cut funding lawmakers approved last month for certain Area Agencies on Aging, which administer an array of in-home and community-based services for seniors.
