MCDONNELL TO SEEK $500M ANNUALLY IN NEW ROAD MONEY

Bob McDonnell said Wednesday that he will push for legislation in the upcoming General Assembly session that would eventually generate $500 million a year for transportation, but he withheld details, saying they would be released later. The amount is a fraction of what one estimate says will be needed over the next two decades for major new transportation projects from Hampton Roads to Northern Virginia.
