MCDONNELL, TEACHERS GROUP REACH DEAL

Bob McDonnell’s administration have struck a compromise on one of the governor’s key education proposals that would change the new teacher probation and the grievance process – now moving it through the legislature with the support of the group. It’s a stark difference from last year, when the Virginia Education Association and McDonnell’s administration clashed over the governor’s attempt to overhaul contracts for teachers and principals.
