Latest "SuperPAC" donors defy stererotype
The most common "Super PAC" donor from Virginia contributes $250 -- far less than the media portrayal of the super rich swaying the election.
VPAP's analysis of the most recent batch of 188 Super PAC donors from Virginia found the following distribution by donation amount:

The 188 donations were made available by the Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks money in federal elections.
The largest donations for the most recent time period were:
- Thomas G. Snead Jr. of Richmond - $25,000 to Middle Resolution Federal PAC
- FreeEats.com of Centreville - $17,500 to PresidentDowngrade
- William P. Barr of McLean - $10,000 to AmericanCrossroads
The latest data is part of a VPAP-CRP partnership to provide greater transparency for Virginia donors to Super PACs, which can accept unlimited donations for TV ads and other independent expenditures.
