Legislation signed this week by Gov. McAuliffe will start the ball rolling on regulation of food trucks desiring to use right-of-way on state-maintained roads.

McAuliffe signed legislation sponsored by Del. Eileen Filler-Corn (D-Fairfax) and supported by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, Tysons Partnership and Food Truck Association. It directs the Commonwealth Transportation Board to develop regulations for food trucks to use state-maintained roads.

Language in the legislation was agreed to by the Fairfax County government and Virginia Department of Transportation.
