Summary

As Introduced. Health care providers; meeting, trial, and deposition charges.

Provides that, in any case, a health care provider may only charge a patient or the patient's attorney, executor or administrator, or authorized insurer a reasonable fee on an hourly basis for such health care provider's actual time spent at or preparing for (i) a meeting related to pending or probable litigation, (ii) a trial, or (iii) a deposition. The bill further specifies that such fee shall not be more than the amount of actual lost revenue incurred due to such time spent at or preparing for such meeting, trial, or deposition. (Less)
