Summary

As introduced. Airport boards and authorities; member qualifications; funding transparency.

Requires that any person appointed to an airport board or authority created by a locality or group of localities (i) have a degree from an accredited university or at least five years of related experience in aerospace engineering, air transportation, business administration and management, aviation management, construction management, or facilities ... (More)

...management or similar related degree; (ii) have at least five years of relevant experience as a pilot; (iii) be an attorney in good standing with the Virginia Bar Association; or (iv) have a master of business administration degree. The bill requires such airport boards or authorities who receive funding from the Department of Aviation or Virginia Aviation Board to keep records and submit a public report regarding the receipt and disbursement of such funds.
