Summary

As Introduced. Certificate of public need; ophthalmic ambulatory surgical centers.

Repeals the requirement for a certificate of public need for certain projects involving ambulatory surgical centers specializing in the provision of ophthalmic services. The bill creates a new permitting process for such projects, exempted from the certificate of public need process, that requires the Commissioner of Health to issue a permit upon the agreement of the applicant to certain charity care conditions and quality of care standards.
