Summary

As Introduced. Urban farming; promotion.

Directs the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, in cooperation with the Department of Education, the Virginia Farm Bureau, and the Virginia Municipal League, to adopt regulations to promote urban farming. The bill requires the regulations to create educational programs, support agricultural education, provide technical assistance, support the marketing of products grown on urban farms, encourage local collaboration, and promote urban farming to students.
