19 New General Assembly Candidates
In the last week, VPAP added 19 names to its unofficial list of 2019 General Assembly candidates.

Carolyn Weems (R) is running for the seat now held by Sen. Frank Wagner (R-Virginia Beach), who is not seeking re-election. Two candidates are seeking the Democratic nomination. SD 7 includes portions of Virginia Beach and Norfolk.
Del. Debra Rodman (D-Henrico) is the third Democrat seeking the seat now held by Sen. Siobhan Dunnavant (R-Henrico). Veena Gupta Lothe and Marques Jones are also seeking the Democratic nomination. SD 12 includes portions of Henrico and Hanover counties.
Danielle Gibeson (R) is challenging Sen. Bryce Reeves (R-Spotsylvania) for the GOP nomination. Rich Breeden is also seeking the GOP nomination, and two candidates are seeking the Democratic nomination. SD 17 includes all of Fredericksburg and Orange County and portions of Albemarle, Culpeper, Louisa and Spotsylvania counties.
Qasim Rashid (D) is the second democrat running for the seat now held by Sen. Richard Stuart (R-Montross). SD 28 includes portions of Stafford, Prince William, King George, Spotsylvania and Westmoreland counties.
Suzanne Fox (R) is running for the seat now held by Sen. Jennifer Boysko (D-Herndon). SD 33 includes portions of Fairfax and Loudoun counties.
David Eaton (R) and Will Wampler (R) are seeking the Republican nomination for the seat now held by Del. Todd Pillion (R-Abingdon), who is running for the Senate. HD 4 includes Dickenson County and portions of Washington, Russell and Wise counties.
Richard Fox (R) and Marshall Pattie (R) are seeking the Republican nomination for the seat now held by Del. Steve Landes (R-Verona), who is not running for re-election. Chris Runion is also seeking the Republican nomination, and two candidates are seeking the Democratic nomination. HD 25 includes portions of Augusta, Albemarle and Rockingham counties.
Irina Khanin (D) is running for the seat now held by Del. Chris Collins (R-Winchester). HD 29 includes Winchester and portions of Frederick and Warren counties.
Richard Hayden (R) is running for the seat now held by Del. Paul Krizek (D-Alexandria). HD 44 includes portions of Fairfax County.
Michael Clinkscale (R) is running for the seat now held by Del. Mark Levine (D-Woodbridge). HD 45 includes portions of Alexandria and Arlington and Fairfax counties.
Kevin Wade (D) is challenging Del. Luke Torian (D-Dumfries) for the Democratic nomination. HD 52 includes portions of Prince William County.
Juanita Jo Matkins (D) is running for the seat now held by Del. John McGuire (R-Henrico). HD 56 includes all of Louisa County and portions of Henrico, Goochland and Spotsylvania counties.
Lindsey Dougherty (D) and Tavorise Marks (D) are seeking the Democratic nomination for the seat now held by Del. Riley Ingram, who is not seeking re-election. HD 62 includes part of Hopewell and portions of Chesterfield, Henrico and Prince George counties.
Lori Losi (R) is running for the seat now held by Del. Dawn Adams (D-Henrico). Garrison Coward is also seeking the Republican nomination. HD 68 includes portions of Richmond and Chesterfield and Henrico counties.
Rodney Willett (D) is running for the seat now held by Del. Debra Rodman (D-Henrico), who is running for the Democratic nomination in Senate District 12. Mary Margaret Kastelberg (R) is also running. HD 73 includes portions of Henrico County.
Gayle Johnson (D) is running for the seat now held by Del. Jason Miyares (R-Virginia Beach). HD 82 includes portions of Virginia Beach.

VPAP maintains an unofficial candidate list that includes those who have a) filed paperwork with the State Department of Elections declaring their intention to raise money or b) have announced publicly they are running for office. The State Department of Elections will release an official list of candidates who qualified for the November ballot at some point after the June 13 candidate deadline.
