Getting to 50.01%

State Republican convention participants marked ballots that ranked candidates by order of preference. After each round, one candidate was eliminated and ballots redistributed based on voters' next preferences -- until someone polled more than 50 percent. (See how ranked choice voting worked.)

Notes: Numbers shown represent "weighted votes" which were calculated based on a system that assigned each GOP unit a fixed number of delegates. Ballots that were not fully marked were discarded if no active candidate was selected as a subsequent choice.
