Del. Landes Crozet town hall meeting postponed due to hospitalization
CROZET - Del. Steve Landes, R-Weyers Cave, has postponed his Saturday town hall meeting due to a hospital stay, according to a release from William T. Wrobleski, Landes' communications director.
"Delegate Landes has postponed the December 29th Town Hall Meeting in Crozet," the statement said. "Delegate Landes had an adverse allergic reaction requiring admission to the hospital. Unfortunately, he will not be discharged prior to the scheduled meeting. The Crozet Town Hall will be rescheduled as soon as possible."
No further details were included in the release sent out, but Landes sent out a tweet soon after.
"Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction that required me to be admitted to the hospital," the tweet said. "I won’t be discharged until later Saturday and must postpone tomorrow’s Town Hall in Crozet. I look forward to rescheduling it soon and gaining your insight on the issues about which you care most!"
The News Leader has reached out to Wrobleski for more information.
Landes announced he would hold three town hall meetings to prepare for the 2019 legislative season — one in Harrisonburg, which was held on Dec. 20; another in Crozet, which has been postponed; and one in Weyers Cave to be held on Jan. 2.
The meetings are part of Landes' outreach initiative to the residents of the 25th House District.
“As I have done for the past 23 years, I am asking residents of the 25th House District for their input so I can better understand what issues are most important to them. I have found their input over the years to be invaluable,” said Landes in a release.
The next town hall meeting:
Jan. 2 - Weyers Cave
- Del. Landes Town Hall
- Blue Ridge Community College, Plecker Center, Room P126A
- One College Ln.
- 6:30 p.m.
