GENERAL ASSEMBLY ELECTION RESULTS

Incumbent Democrat Lynwood W. Lewis Jr. took an early lead over Republican challenger Richard H. Ottinger in voting for the Virginia Senate 6th District and prevailed to win in his first regular election for the seat. Lewis won the seat in a special election last year.

BLOXOM WINS IN VIRGINIA HOUSE OF DELEGATES 100TH DISTRICT

The Eastern Shore rematch ended with the same result. Republican businessman Robert Bloxom Jr. held onto his 100th District House of Delegates seat Tuesday night by soundly defeating Democrat Willie Randall for the second time in less than two years.
