Who's funding Newport News City Council campaigns?

By THERESA CLIFT, Daily Press (Metered Paywall - 1 article a month)

The checks aren't huge, but City Council campaign donations — which end up funding yard signs, stickers and buttons — can shed a light on which candidates are drawing the most behind-the-scenes support. Mike Mullin, Councilwoman Pat Woodbury's Central District challenger, has raised the most — $56,900 including cash, in-kind services and loans. Woodbury comes in second with $42,534. Councilman Rob Coleman, facing a challenge from Marcelus Harriss III, was third, with $39,372.
