In the 10th Congressional District, Republican Hung Cao is emphasizing his family's background as refugees from Vietnam. People born in Asia represent the largest bloc of the district's foreign-born residents. In the 7th Congressional District, Yesli Vega talks often of being the child of Salvadoran immigrants who made the most of life in America. People born in Latin America also represent the district's largest bloc of foreign-born residents.
