Summary

As Passed House of Origin. Uniform Statewide Building Code; outdoor advertising.

Requires the owner of a sign located along an Interstate System highway that has a height that is greater than the distance from such sign to the shoulder edge of the pavement to have such sign periodically inspected for building code compliance. The bill authorizes the Commissioner of Highways to remove any such sign without notice and at the cost of the owner if the sign poses a risk to highway safety or public safety. (Less)
