Summary

As Passed House of Origin. Disclosure of student address to noncustodial parent prohibited under certain circumstances; parental notification.

Provides that, upon written request of a student's custodial parent, no school board employee shall disclose the address of any student and his custodial parent to any noncustodial parent of such student. The bill requires each school board to take reasonable steps to notify parents of their right to make such a written request and, at the time that a child is placed in foster care, each local department of social services to notify the foster parents of their right to make such a written request.
