Summary

As Passed House of Origin. Gift certificates; fees; expiration.

Prohibits the imposition of a dormancy fee, an inactivity charge or fee, or a service fee with respect to a gift certificate, unless certain requirements of the bill are met. The bill also prohibits the sale or issuance of a gift certificate that is subject to an expiration date that is earlier than five years after the gift certificate was issued or funds were last loaded to the gift certificate.
