Voter Participation

This 39-second video was created for TikTok.

"Why should you care about voter participation? Let's say you're a fifth grader and your teacher lets your class vote on where to go for the annual field trip. The choices: a museum or an amusement park. You're so excited to ride those roller coasters! The vote is taking place at the end of recess and your teacher says you can either stay and play on the playground or go in to vote. Of course, you and your friends decide to finish your game of tag. The museum ends up beating the amusement park by two votes, so you can forget about those roller coasters. Voter participation means: if you don't vote, someone else decides for you."
