In the three weeks following Labor Day, nearly $4 million has been spent on broadcast TV ads in the Governor's race.
The mix of ads include those paid for by Republican Ed Gillespie and Democrat Ralph Northam — and those by political groups. The Virginia Education Association, a teacher's union, has been running spots blasting Gillespie. Americans for Prosperity, a conservative group for limited government, has been running ads attacking Northam.
