A '527-group' reported making a donation of $10,000 or more to a statewide candidate since Wednesday:
|$900,000||John Adams (R) for Attorney General|
Virginia law requires limited disclosure by groups that are not considered political action committees but that are allowed under Section 527 of the Internal Revenue Service code to make political donations. These so-called 527 groups must disclose anytime they donation $10,000 or more to a Virginia candidate or PAC.
In addition, the following state PACs reported receiving donations of $10,000 or more:
|$849,875||Democratic Party of Virginia|
|$147,900||House Democratic Caucus|
|$37,095||Republican Party of Virginia|
|$12,976||Colonial Leadership Trust PAC (Del. Kirk Cox)|
Under Virginia law, leadership and non-candidate political committees are required to report any single donation of $10,000 or more to the State Department of Elections within three business days.
