Back to Two Maps for the House
After agreeing on a single state Senate map last weekend, the two partisan consultants hired by the Virginia Redistricting Commission have submitted separate ideas on how to redraw House of Delegates districts to account for population changes over the last decade.
Starting at 8:00 am today, the 16-member Commission will begin a marathon session to reconcile differences in the House maps and complete work on the Senate maps. The goal is to get a proposal in shape for public hearings that begin Monday. The Commission's deadline is October 10.
