Court Finalizes Redistricting
The Supreme Court of Virginia issued an order today establishing new boundaries for state House, Senate and congressional district maps. No action is required of the legislature or Governor.
The maps were revised after taking into consideration comments from the public. Here is the statement from the two experts (one nominated by Democratic legislators and the other nominated by Republican legislators).
The maps take effect during the next general election for each seat -- 2022 congressional; 2023 Senate and 2023 (or possibly 2022) House of Delegates.
