Gubernatorial Fundraising Tops $138 Million

Republican Gov-elect Glenn Youngkin and former Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe raised a combined $138 million, nearly double the previous most expensive campaign to become Virginia's chief executive.

Note: The amounts represent the "net" cash, in-kind and loans reported by all committees controlled by each candidate. "Net" receipts exclude any money transferred between committees controlled by the same candidate. This prevents a candidate from double-counting some donations. Past years' totals adjusted for inflation.
