Updated: Funding Youngkin's Big Celebration

Money should be no obstacle to organizers who tonight promise a political "celebration like Richmond has never seen." On the eve of his swearing-in, Republican Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin's inaugural committee reported raising $4.3 million from donors who each gave $10,000 or more.

Sources: Large contribution reports filed by the Youngkin inaugural fund through Friday, January 14 with the state Department of Elections. Virginia law requires inaugural committees to disclose any donation of $10,000 or more within three business days of receipt. A full accounting of the money raised and spent by inaugural committees will be available in mid-March.
