Workloads Changed as House Power Shifted

Members of the House Republican Caucus have been a lot busier during this year's General Assembly session. Regaining the majority means Republican members have more committee assignments and, in general, have introduced more bills. For Democrats, shifting to the minority party generally has meant a lighter workload.

Note: Includes the 79 of 100 members who served both in 2020 and 2022.
'Change in bills sponsored' includes only House Bills (HB); resolutions and joint resolutions are not included. The number also includes bills in which the legislator is listed as chief patron or chief co-patron.
The change in committee assignments include committees and subcommittees; "ex officio" assignments are excluded from the calculation.
