Virginia Sheds Population in State-to-State Migration

Between 2015 and 2020, the number of Virginia residents who left for other states exceeded the number of people who relocated to Virginia. This chart looks at the net migration pattern to and from each of the other 49 states and the District of Columbia. The overall net population loss during that time was 62,000.
