Youngkin Refunds Record Number of Donations

Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin refunded more than 600 contributions to his successful campaign last fall, more than twice as many as his Democratic predecessor. Nearly all the Youngkin donors who requested refunds had given online, mostly in small-dollar amounts. Many were elderly, with a median age of 70. At least one-third opted to make recurring monthly donations, the default setting on Youngkin's donor page.
