African-American Precincts: Precincts where at least 95% of registered voters are African-American. Includes 34 precincts for 2016 and 28 precincts for 2020.
Millennial Precincts: Precincts where at least 45% of registered voters are millennials (born after 1985 and before 1997). Not on or adjacent to a college campus. Includes 16 precincts for 2016 and 20 precincts for 2020.
College Precincts: Precincts where at least 50% of registered voters are age 25 or younger. On or adjacent to a college campus. Includes 11 precincts for 2016 and 14 precincts for 2020.
High Income Precincts: Precincts with the highest median income from each of four regions in Virginia - The Capital region (around Richmond), Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia, and Southwest Virginia. Includes 57 precincts for 2016 and 58 precincts for 2020.
Low Income Precincts: Precincts with the lowest median income from each of four regions in Virginia - The Capital region (around Richmond), Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia, and Southwest Virginia. A total of 54 precincts. Includes 59 precincts for 2016 and 54 precincts for 2020.
Trump Precincts (Nov. 2016): 50 precincts where Donald Trump received the highest percentage of votes in November 2016, and at least 25 votes were cast.
Advanced Degree Precincts (Nov. 2016): 26 Precincts where 47% or more of registered voters have an education higher than a bachelor's degree.
