July 1st, 2005, I was awarded both of my Purple Hearts by President Bush. When he told me he’d never pinned two on one person, I told him “Sir, I make an excellent target.” I’m proud of my past service to our great country. I would willingly fight and bleed again to defend her if necessary. This fight we are in right now isn’t about being a Senator, it’s about serving Americans and America. I have the same oath, but a new mission.
