Political Advertising in Virginia Elections

Hi -- I'm Dr. Cameron Webb and I'm the Democratic nominee for Congress here in Virginia's 5th Congressional District.

You may have heard my name or seen my face recently in an attack ad from my Republican opponent, Bob Good. Unfortunately, Mr. Good is looking to attack me and mislead voters about my views to hide his own out-of-touch positions. This kind of negative, fear-mongering rhetoric is nothing new in Donald Trump's America. As a public supporter and defender of the President, Good has clearly taken a page from Trump's book.

Our campaign is going to do things a little differently. Instead of trying to convince you why Good is the wrong candidate, I'm here to prove to you why I am the right candidate for this district. So let's set the record straight:

My name is Cameron Webb and I am proud to have served my community as both a physician and a lawyer, helping folks have the best shot at quality, affordable healthcare in this country. I was honored to serve in both the Obama and Trump White Houses, as policy advisor working on issues including expanding healthcare and opportunities for all.

Now, I am the Democratic nominee for VA-05 and I am proud to support:

- An equitable healthcare system that is affordable and accessible to all
- A reallocation of funds that frees up our police officers to battle crime more effectively while strengthening our mental health resources
- The American Dream, which ensures equal opportunities for every American

Most of all, I believe that there is no room in our government for the kind of negative, hateful rhetoric used by the President and my Republican opponent. I believe in working across the aisle.
