Howell, Orrock win primaries

Voters Tuesday night gave House Speaker Bill Howell and Caroline Del. Bobby Orrock the Republican nominations in their respective House districts, with both easily defeating challengers. The two challenges came in part because the opponents were angry at Howell’s and Orrock’s support for the transportation funding reform bill that passed during this winter’s legislative session.

Cantor backing Orrock in GOP primary race

Orrock gets challenger from Tea Party Patriots

Del. Bobby Orrock has a primary challenger from the right for the 54th House of Delegates seat. Dustin Curtis, a former chairman of the Fredericksburg Tea Party Patriots, announced he will run against Orrock, a Republican from Caroline County. The two will face off in a primary on June 11.
