Virginia Beach Mayor Bobby Dyer endorses Scott Taylor for Congress.

The Mayor stated,

“Scott has a history of working tirelessly for our community. While serving in uniform as a US Navy SEAL, serving as our VA Delegate and Congressman, and even through his independent work while a citizen, as demonstrated by his securing tons of PPE for Virginians at the onset of this pandemic, Scott has been a consistent, effective public servant. Direct federal spending, authorized and determined by Congress, into this city is critical to ensuring that our unique needs are met with infrastructure and job security. Scott Taylor is the fierce advocate we need in Washington to ensure that our region and city receive significant federal funding to allow for a strong economy. Scott Taylor is the champion we need in Congress to ensure that Virginia Beach remains the best city in the nation to raise a family and run a business.”

The Sheriff stated, “Our country is headed in the wrong direction. We need a Congressman who is committed to preserving our fundamental American values and protecting our community. At a time when violence, looting, and lawlessness threaten many American cities, Scott stands proudly in support of our law enforcement. Scott Taylor understands the people of this district, especially due to his military experience as a Navy SEAL and Iraq War veteran. Through deployments and abroad travel, Scott has seen first-hand the brutal reality for regions with rogue, vigilante justice rather than effective law and order established. Scott has a history of bringing people together in this community to hear differing perspectives and pursue a solution in a productie, meaningful manner. Whether it was passing the Community Policing Act or initiating conversations between the community and law enforcement, Scott serves to bring people from all sides together for a safer and better community.
